The agreement
Terms of use
The rules for using TibaLane as a facility, a supplier or a member of a supplier’s team.
Draft for legal review. These terms are a plain-English placeholder describing how the platform is intended to work. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer and are not yet a binding contract. Final terms will be published before launch.
Your account
- Use your own account. Supplier managers create separate accounts for each team member; do not share passwords or sign-in codes.
- Keep your details accurate, including your facility or business name, KRA PIN and delivery address.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
Buying as a facility
Orders are placed with individual suppliers, not with TibaLane. Each supplier confirms stock, price and delivery, and is responsible for the products it supplies, including storage, cold chain and regulatory approvals. Prices are shown in Kenya shillings and include VAT where stated.
Selling as a supplier
- Only list products you are licensed to supply, with accurate descriptions, prices and stock.
- Respond to orders and messages promptly and keep facilities informed about delays.
- Subscription fees are billed in advance for your chosen plan. If an invoice stays unpaid after the grace period, ordering and some workspace features may be paused until it is settled.
- Electronic tax invoicing (eTIMS) and live payment collection only work once they have been set up and validated with the relevant provider.
Payments
Payments go through M-Pesa, bank transfer or card providers. A payment is only treated as received once the provider or the supplier has confirmed it. Refunds and returns are handled by the supplier under its own policy.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the platform: no attempts to access other accounts, scrape data, upload harmful files, or list counterfeit, expired or recalled products. We may suspend accounts that put facilities, patients or other users at risk.
Availability and liability
We work to keep TibaLane available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by a supplier’s products or a provider’s outage. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Kenyan consumer law.
Ending your account
You can ask us to close your account at any time. We keep order, payment and tax records for as long as the law requires, as explained in the privacy notice.
